SEO audits.
Giving you the complete SEO picture.
SEO can be a complex beast – Google reportedly has over 200 different factors that it considers, when choosing where to place web pages in its rankings. This may sound daunting but fear not – this is where an in-depth SEO audit can help immeasurably.
Why have an SEO audit?
Quite simply, an audit gives you the complete picture, in terms of where you currently stand and a roadmap towards future improvement.
SEO is multi-faceted and so, for example, working solely on ‘on-page’ aspects might not be effective, if your site has significant underlying technical issues. A comprehensive audit gives you a holistic, rounded view and ensures you can deploy future resources in the most efficient and effective way possible.
It’s also important to remember that “what’s good for SEO is good for users” and so, in addition to potentially increasing organic traffic to your site, the improvements you make can also benefit aspects such as user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
Our SEO audits are incredibly thorough and bespoke.
What does an SEO audit involve?
There are five main steps to our audits.
01
Learning all about you.
The first step is always to understand more about your organisational objectives and your aspirations for the website. For example, who are your main target audiences? Do you have specific KPIs? Who are your competitors or similar organisations within the sector? We’ll provide you with a bespoke questionnaire, which we’ll ask you to complete, prior to the audit commencing.
02
Data, data and more data.
We'll also ask you to provide us with access to various data sources, such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
03
The audit commences.
Once we have your completed questionnaire and access to the aforementioned Google services, we can begin. On rare occasions we might need to confer with you during the audit but usually we’ll be able to complete the process without needing any of your time.
04
Audit delivery.
At the end of the audit, you'll receive a comprehensive report that clearly explains which areas require improvement and why. Specific recommendations are provided throughout, with guidance given on which points should be prioritised.
Accompanying every report is an extensive appendices of data - the backbone of our audits.
05
Discussing the findings.
Our audits are designed to be as self-explanatory as possible but there will usually be aspects that you’ll be keen to discuss with us, or vice versa. That’s why we always make time for follow-up discussions, to ensure that you’re clear and comfortable with all of the findings and recommendations made.
